If you’re reading this it’s probably because you’re worried about your teenager because they’re suffering from stress and anxiety, feeling under pressure of some kind and that things are getting too much for them?
Does your teenager wake up in the mornings dreading the day ahead, maybe trying to avoid going to school or college, not joining in with friends or perhaps they’re looking miserable and you feel helpless.
Pressure, often from themselves, to achieve high exams results, get into the right schools, colleges and universities as well as pressure from friendship groups can make this a very difficult time for teenagers.
Long periods of worry, stress and anxiety can lead to sleep problems and we all know how hard it is to cope when we’re tired and can’t concentrate properly. This can quickly create a self-confidence crisis in teenagers.
This lack of confidence often leads to them not wanting to go out with friends, becoming irritable and constantly worrying about failing exams and embarrassing themselves.
Stress affects us all but it’s how we deal with it that can make a big difference.
I use a variety of coaching techniques to help teenagers find new ways to cope with life’s problems and develop more resilience for a long-term solution to challenges.
