At my Hypnotherapy Practices at Moorgate and Godalming, I sometimes use hypnosis which is simply a very relaxed state of mind. Clients stay in full control and can’t be made to do or say anything they don’t want to.
One of the questions that I’m most frequently asked is “do you think I’m susceptible?” and my answer is an easy yes because it’s just a very relaxed state, similar to when you’re reading a book or watching tv and you’re so engrossed in the story that you don’t hear someone else talking to you. We all drift in and out of this relaxed state all of the time – It’s when you’re relaxed but focusing your attention on something.
I combine this relaxed mind with a variety of techniques to guide each client to reach the solution that they want to achieve. Because everyone is unique, I use techniques that are specifically chosen to suit each individual person from a wide range of successful therapies including NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) EMI (Eye Movement Integration) and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). Together, our aim will be to improve your problem in the shortest time possible.

Cognitive Hypnotherapy works on the basis that trance states are everyday experiences. It’s those moments where you’re doing things without thinking about what you’re doing, like driving to work while mentally rehearsing what you’re going to say at your meeting later on. It’s when you’re daydreaming, engrossed in watching TV or reading a book or newspaper. Science suggests that we’re in these states for 90% of the time. I work on the basis that it can be these unconscious thought processes that cause us to behave in ways that consciously, we’d prefer not to, like overeating, negative thinking or under-achieving.
My approach is different to traditional hypnotherapy because I know that everybody is unique and so I will tailor our sessions to suit each person’s individual problems and goals. This means you could be amazed at what you can achieve by letting go of old habits and patterns of behaviour and thinking. My aim is for you to receive the highest quality service to reach your goals and live a more fulfilling life .
Our hypnotherapy sessions last between an hour and 90 minutes and it’s likely that we’ll agree upon some homework in between sessions to accelerate your progress. This may include listening daily to an mp3 download or a small task aimed at empowering you in situations that would previously have been an issue.
